The
ESD 105 Safe and Drug-Free Schools program is focused on developing
and maintaining safe, civil, and drug free schools through preventive
education, appropriate intervention strategies, and assistance with
crisis response and recovery.
Services:
- Provide
training and consultation with bullying/harassment prevention
and intervention
- Provide
training and consultation with behavior management/discipline
- Provide
violence prevention curriculum training
- Provide
consultation in development of comprehensive guidance and
counseling programs emphasizing the American School Counselor
Association (ASCA) National Model
- Provide
student motivation curriculum training
- Provide
crisis management training and assistance with crisis response
and recovery
- Collaborate
with other prevention/intervention services and programs
to develop school-wide alcohol, tobacco, and drug prevention
and intervention programs.

Goals:
- Prevent
violence in and around schools
- Strengthen
programs that prevent the illegal use of alcohol, tobacco,
and other drugs
- Involve
parents, local community agencies, and federal and state
resources
