Fiscal Services assists the 25 public school districts and private schools in the ESD 105 region with a broad range of services that affect business, accounting, regulatory compliance, insurance, transportation and grants management operations. Fiscal Services also provides assistance to OSPI by processing and approving district budgets, financial and other required reports, and data for the statewide personnel and student enrollment systems. In addition, Fiscal Services provides business, accounting and facilities support for ESD 105.

The districts and schools in the ESD 105 region have access to the expertise of the Fiscal Services staff for financial consultation and assistance on audits, budgeting, and compliance with state rules and regulations on annual and special reports.

• Information on legislation, matters dealing with property tax levies and state funding calculations, and investment planning is disseminated through district consultations and regular meetings with district and school business managers.
• ESD 105 also manages several grants that aid districts and schools in providing programs important to student success. The ESD has the ability to build partnerships and leverage multiple funding sources to provide services in schools and districts.
• The implementation and management of cooperatives for services of mutual benefit to our districts are also managed by Fiscal Services.
• Assisting districts with fiscal student data and reporting is facilitated through our South Central Regional Data Center.
• Our Regional Pupil Transportation service helps ensure the safe operation and maintenance of our region’s school transportation vehicles.

Fiscal Services serves as a liaison between the State Superintendent of Public Instruction's Office, Division of Financial Services, and local school districts.
