Educational Service District 105 supports 25
public school districts and 23 state approved private and tribal
schools of South Central Washington in achieving student
success. (Download the current ESD
105 Resource Directory containing contact information
for those schools.)
As a service agency, our purpose is
to meet the expressed needs of local school districts by coordinating
and conducting cooperative programs for the needs of approximately
60,000 students in the four
counties we serve.
Our cost effective and cooperative
approach brings this region nearly $36 in services for every $1
in state funding we receive. Our resource leveraging capabilities
make us a unique partner in education.
As one of nine
ESDs in the State of Washington, ESD 105 carries
out liaison activities between local school districts, the Washington
State Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction and the State
Board of Education. We are governed by a lay
board of directors consisting of seven citizens.
We have approximately 100 employees.
